‘Hand Magician’, French doctor Stéphane Guero, offers treatment for hand deformities at FV Hospital

From 7 – 12 May, 2018, French doctor Stéphane Guero, often call the “Hand Magician”, will offer counselling, treatment and surgeries for patients with congenital hand malformations or trauma-related hand deformities at FV Hospital.

Dr. Stéphane Guero

Dr. Stéphane Guero is one of the founders of the Hand Surgery Institute of France, and a member of the European Society of Clinical Anatomy. With over 20 years of profound experience in hand surgery, especially in treating paediatric patients, Dr Guero has earned a reputation as a “hand magician”, specialising in performing complicated hand surgeries such as:

  • Finger transformation
  • Hand function restoration
  • Brachial plexus
  • Syndactyly corrections
  • Arm nerve corrections
  • Microsurgery
  • Congenital hand malformation correction
  • Rheumatoid arthritis
  • Cosmetic improvement of skin lesions
  • Bone grafting for congenital polydactyly

Dr Guero can treat patients with trauma-related hand deformities and paediatric patients with congenital hand malformations so that they can live a better, richer life.

In cases of complicated deformities, Dr Guero uses the Sonopet ultrasonic aspirator, which allows fine dissection of the tumor while reducing blood loss and the ability to remove diseased tissue without damaging the healthy cells around it.

As a result, these procedures incur much less risk of damaging important components such as blood vessels and nerves while minimizing bleeding and possible post-surgical complications; patients also benefit from a shorter recovery time.

Following surgery, FV doctors will monitor postoperative care and assist hand rehabilitation patients through physiotherapy to help them to recover as quickly as possible.
