To share advanced medical experiences and effective oral care methods combined with accurate nutritional knowledge, FV Hospital is organising a medical workshop titled “COMPREHENSIVE NUTRITIONAL AND ORAL HEALTH CARE”. This workshop will not only focus on oral health issues but also explore the correlation between diet and oral health, and how oral health can impact overall bodily health. It will also help participants gain a deeper understanding of the process of caring for malnourished patients at FV Hospital.

Vu Truong Son, MD, MSc – Acting Medical Director, FV Hospital
Vu Truong Son, MD, MSc graduated from Hai Phong University of Medicine and Pharmacy in 2007 and taught there for two years following his graduation. He earned his Master’s degree in Tropical Diseases and International Health at the Institute of Francophone Tropical Medicine (IFMT) in 2009.
Dr Vu Truong Son began working at FV Hospital in 2013 and officially became the Head of the Infectious Disease Department in 2022. In May 2023, Dr Vu Truong Son additionally took on the role of Deputy Medical Director. Starting from early August 2024, he has since been entrusted by the FV Hospital Board of Directors with the position of Acting Medical Director.
At FV, Dr Vu Truong Son has always received high trust from the Board of Directors and colleagues for his contributions to important policies such as the Response to Global Infectious Diseases and Infection Control, which have been successfully developed and implemented in the hospital. Additionally, during the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr Son made significant contributions to the Infection Control Unit and Infectious Disease Department at FV.

Specialist Level II, Nguyen Viet Quynh Thu, MD, MSc, Head of Nutrition & Dietetics Department, FV Hospital
Specialist Level II, Nguyen Viet Quynh Thu, MD, MSc, graduated as a General Practitionar from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy at Ho Chi Minh City in 1999. Following that, Dr Quynh Thu received a Specialisation Degree Level I in Internal Medicine in 2007 and a Specialisation Degree Level II in Internal Medicine in 2011 from Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy. She received a Master’s degree in Nutrition from Women’s University of Japan in 2008 and a Diploma in Clinical Nutrition and Metabolism of ESPEN in 2019. Doctor Quynh Thu has also participated in many specialised training courses domestically and abroad such as the Total Nutrition Therapy in Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Indonesia; Advanced Clinical Nutrition, and Nutrition Support Team in Japan and LLL ESPEN courses held in Denmark, Poland, Spain, Philippines and Vietnam.
Dr Quynh Thu has more than 15 years of experience in the field of Clinical Nutrition in medical treatment; specially, as the Head of the Nutrition Department of Nguyen Tri Phuong Hospital and has been managing the Nutrition Department for over 10 years. Besides, Doctor Quynh Thu also participated in examination and treatment at some important specialties such as Gastroenterology (2000 – 2005), Endocrinology (2005 – 2006) and Endocrinology (2006 – 2015) at Nguyen Tri Phuong Hospital. Doctor Quynh Thu has officially worked at FV Hospital since February 2016, as the only Senior Treatment Doctor, Department of Clinical Nutrition. Then, Doctor Quynh Thu held the position of Head of Nutrition & Dietetics Unit, FV Hospital from 2017 to 2021 and from May 2021, Doctor Nguyen Viet Quynh Thu was officially appointed as Head of Nutrition and Dietetics Department at FV Hospital. Currently, Doctor Quynh Thu also holds the position of Vice President of the Vietnam Dietetics Association (VDA). In addition to practice in the department, Dr Thu regularly organises and teaches clinical nutrition training classes for medical staff, participates in setting up nutritional treatment forms and protocols in the hospital. Dr Quynh Thu also actively communicates and educates on nutrition through patient and community clubs, participates in television programmes on nutrition counselling, writes articles on nutrition topics.

Nguyen Thanh Tung, MD, PhD – Head of the Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery – Dental Surgery Department, FV Hospital
Dr Nguyen Thanh Tung graduated with a degree in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy in 2006. He then completed a 3-year residency in Maxillofacial Surgery at Central Dental Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City (2007-2010). In 2013, he earned his PhD in Dental Science from Hiroshima University, Japan.
With 14 years’ experience at Central Dental Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City, Dr Tung was also the Head of International Cooperation from 2014 to 2015. He is highly skilled in addressing maxillofacial disorders, dental trauma, maxillofacial surgery, and dental implants. In addition, he has nearly 8 years of experience as a lecturer in Maxillofacial Surgery at Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy and has been involved in training and technique transfer for Maxillofacial Surgery to hospitals nationwide. Since January 2022, Dr Nguyen Thanh Tung has served as the Head of the Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery – Dental Surgery Department, FV Hospital

Dr Nguyen Thi Minh Khue graduated in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy in 2017. She has actively participated in various training programmess both domestically and internationally, including: a student exchange programme at Tokyo Medical and Dental University, Japan in 2015, an Implant Certification in 2019, Aesthetic Dental Restoration, and the International Dental Exhibition and Meeting (IDEM) in Singapore in 2022.
Dr Minh Khue specialises in aesthetic dental restoration, digital dentistry, implantology, and periodontology, to provide patients with comprehensive, minimally invasive aesthetic treatment solutions and to preserve natural teeth as much as possible.
After working at dental clinics such as hiDental (2019 – 2021) and MyLee (2022 to present), Dr Minh Khue joined the Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery – Dental Surgery Department at FV Hospital in June 2023. She aims to offer safe and effective treatment solutions to her patients.

Dr Huynh Le Hai Trinh graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy in 2009. After graduation, Dr Trinh furthered his expertise through courses in dental implantology in 2012 and orthodontics from 2013 to 2014.
With over a decade of experience in the field of dentistry, Dr Trinh has accumulated extensive knowledge and skills through various roles: Senior Dentist at the Periodontics & Aesthetic Dentistry Department at Hoa My Dental Center (2009-2011), Senior Dentist at the Orthodontics Department at Thai To Dental Center (since 2011), and Senior Dentist at the General Dentistry & Dental Implantology Department at A-Au Beauty Hospital (since 2013). Since 2014, Dr Huynh Le Hai Trinh has been part of the senior dental team at the Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery – Dental Surgery Department at FV Hospital. He specialises in general dentistry, aesthetic dentistry, and endodontics.

Dr Nguyen Thi Giang graduated from Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy in 2005 and obtained her Specialty I in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy in 2014. She has also participated in several short-term specialised training courses, including orthodontics (2008 – 2009) and evolutionary biology at An Sinh Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City (2008 – 2011), dental and facial orthopedics (2017) and maxillofacial surgery (2018) at Central Dental Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City, and advanced orthodontics in Singapore (2019).
With over 17 years of experience in orthodontics and maxillofacial surgery, Dr Giang is dedicated to helping patients achieve a radiant face with a beautiful smile to enhance their confidence and happiness in life.
Dr Giang worked for 14 years as an orthodontist at An Sinh Hospital (2006-2020). In June 2022, she joined the Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery – Dental Surgery Department at FV Hospital, where she continues to provide advanced, safe orthodontic treatments and improve smiles to boost patient confidence.

Dr Nguyen Thi Bich Chieu graduated from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Ho Chi Minh City in 2002. After completing her undergraduate programme, Dr Chieu continued to enhance her expertise with various certifications and courses: a specialty in Orthodontics from Ho Chi Minh City in 2007, advanced training in Dental Implants organised by the Ho Chi Minh City Society of Dentistry in 2009, and a residency programme in Oral Surgery at the University of Bordeaux, France, in 1998 and 2000.
Dr Chieu has accumulated significant practical experience through her roles: Dentist at District 8 Health Center in Ho Chi Minh City (2002 – 2003), Senior Dentist at the Department of Dentistry and Oral Maxillofacial Surgery at Tam Duc Heart Hospital (2003 – 2004), and since 2004, Dr Nguyen Thi Bich Chieu has been a Senior Dentist at the Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery – Dental Surgery Department at FV Hospital.
With vast expertise in aesthetic dentistry and dental restoration, Dr Nguyen Thi Bich Chieu is recognised as a medical expert with many years of experience in aesthetic dentistry and oral maxillofacial surgery. Cao Thi Thu Trang, MD, MSc – Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery – Dental Surgery Department, FV Hospital
Dr Cao Thi Thu Trang is a leading expert in the field of Dentistry & Oral Surgery, graduating from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Ho Chi Minh City in 2000 and earning her Master’s in Dentistry in 2013 from the same institution. With over two decades of experience, she has continually advanced her knowledge and skills, particularly in orthodontics and dental implantology.
Since joining the Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery – Dental Surgery Department at FV Hospital in 2016, Dr Trang has gained extensive practical experience in treating various conditions. She specialises in modern orthodontic techniques to help patients improve their oral health and achieve perfect smiles, as well as in dental implants, providing long-term solutions for patients with missing teeth.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong – Nurse Team Leader, Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery – Dental Surgery Department, FV Hospital
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong graduated with a degree in General Nursing from Lam Dong Medical College in 2007. She later obtained a nursing certification from Hong Bang International University in 2013 and additional short-term certifications in wound care, vaccination safety, and health education communication. In 2022, she completed a 3-month continuous training course in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgical Nursing at the Central Dental Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City.
From 2008 to 2010, she worked at Van Hanh General Hospital. In September 2011, she joined FV Hospital, working in various outpatient areas such as FV Lifestyle Clinic, Health Check-up area, vaccination room, VIP room, and bandaging room. She was promoted from nurse to Nurse Shift Leader. In July 2022, she moved to the Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery – Dental Surgery Department as Nurse Team Leader. She supports doctors in examining, treating, and caring for patients with dental, jaw, and facial issues, particularly those undergoing maxillofacial surgery. She is involved in patient care from the initial examination, surgical planning, equipment preparation, assisting in the operating room, and post-surgical care.
She actively assists in various maxillofacial surgeries ranging from simple procedures to complex cases such as cleft lip and palate repair, oral and maxillofacial tumours, jaw trauma, dental implants, and aesthetic treatments for overbite, underbite, jaw misalignment, and chin projection.
