General Job Description

Help the Ward Manager in any mise en place (preparations) for food distributions. Supply the most efficient services to the wards & cafeteria of the FV Hospital.

  • Meals service to different Hospital area and according to established policies, rules and etiquette
  • Introduce to patient the daily menu and answer question regarding food preparation.
  • Relays order to kitchen and serves courses from kitchen
  • Garnishes and decorates dishes, and support cookers in some food preparations.
  • Observe breakfast/lunch/diner to be able to respond to any request
  • Dish up for wards/cafeteria
  • Carries trays from kitchen to Patient room and carries dirty dishes to kitchen
  • Make sure that food is supply on time to ward
  • Washing cookery, cutlery and glasses used for the service at breakfast, lunch and dinner
  • Set up tray as per guideline and FVH standard
  • Insure with Ward Manager & chef that the service will be ready on time.
  • Must support every request made by Pantry supervisor regarding their position.
General Requirements
  • 2 to 3 years experiences as waiter/waitress in hotel /restaurant/ cafeteria/collectivity
  • Knowledge in service, and cleaning is requested
  • Will be able to serve with efficiencies, avoiding dirt and bad service. Report to the Ward Manager & chef at any time concerning meals service
  • Will be also able to assist any services related to patient wards
