Last weekend, on 16th November, the “Kite of Hope” event hosted by The Children of Vietnam Charitable Fund at Thu Duc Golf Course concluded successfully. This event left a lasting impression on participants and further helped spread the heart-warming message of the “Kite of Hope” campaign.
With over 50 members of the FV Family and their loved ones in attendance, the weekend’s kite-flying event at Thu Duc Golf Course was truly unforgettable. Against the backdrop of clear blue skies, vibrant kites carrying meaningful messages from the “Kite of Hope” programme soared gracefully, symbolising support for The Children of Vietnam Charitable Fund’s mission to provide medical care to underprivileged children across Vietnam.
Members of the FV Family participated in the kite-flying event, organised by The Children of Vietnam Charitable Fund in partnership with FV Hospital.
Ms Le Lan Khanh, Director of The Children of Vietnam Charitable Fund, expressed heartfelt pride in successfully delivering a programme that not only strengthened community bonds but also embodied a profound humanitarian spirit. She remarked, “I was deeply touched to see the kites soaring high, carrying countless hopes and dreams. The shared compassion and empathy of everyone here have reignited our confidence to continue this meaningful journey.”
Ms Le Lan Khanh shared her heartfelt sentiments as the event was warmly embraced by the FV Family.
In addition to kite-flying, the programme created opportunities for connection through picnics and social interactions. Surprise games, thoughtfully planned for children and families, sparked enthusiastic participation, making it a weekend filled with joy and laughter. Ms Khanh shared that the organising team had worked tirelessly to design an engaging programme as a gesture of gratitude to hundreds of FV Hospital staff members who have steadfastly supported The Children of Vietnam Charitable Fund on its journey.
Beyond kite-flying, the event included engaging activities such as kite decorating and presentations, where participants showcased their unique creations.
Kite-flying, a traditional folk game recognised as a national cultural heritage, holds a special place in the hearts of many Vietnamese. Ms Truong Thi Minh Quy, from the FV Happy Shop, shared, “When flying a kite, I feel as though I’ve returned to my childhood. I hope that less fortunate children will receive more support.” She also pledged to contribute by ensuring the best support for fundraising products from The Children of Vietnam Charitable Fund at the FV Happy Shop.

Having been a dedicated supporter of The Children of Vietnam Charitable Fund in numerous initiatives, Ms Nguyen Thi Ly, Medical Affairs Manager, shared her joy: “I attended this event with my son. Many thanks to the organisers for giving my family a wonderful day filled with memories alongside the FV Family.” Ms Ly also expressed her happiness at seeing familiar faces — long-time collaborators with The Children of Vietnam Charitable Fund – taking part in this meaningful event.
As the event came to a close, the sight of countless kites soaring against the sunset created a truly moving scene. The uplifting imagery and enthusiasm of the FV Family throughout the event will undoubtedly inspire others in the community to contribute, further strengthening The Children of Vietnam Charitable Fund’s mission to provide timely medical assistance to disadvantaged children.
