On the afternoon of 23rd September, a representative from the Directors FV Hospital came to congratulate all the staff of the FV Pharmacy. On the 12th anniversary of World Pharmacists Day (September 25) the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) has chosen the slogan “Pharmacy united in action for a healthier world” as the 2022 theme.

Responding to the campaign “Pharmacy united in action for a healthier world” with more than 4 million pharmacists globally, FV Hospital held a ceremony to congratulate and motivate our pharmacists in the World Pharmacists Day 2022. On behalf of the Board of Directors, Dr Carina Oanh Hoang (Hospitality Services Manager) expressed her thanks and congratulations to all staff of the Pharmacy for their joint efforts to help patients at FV.

Mr Mohd Fazli Shuib (Quality Management Director), Head of Pharmacy, thanked the department for their cooperation and support over the past year, especially during the preparation for the JCI accreditation that FV achieved the 3rd time. For JCI accreditation, the Pharmacy plays a key role in ensuring patient safety, especially in the process of antibiotic management and safe medication use. This year, when medical movements and events focus on safe medication use practice, Mr Fazli expects the Pharmacy to continue to be the link to help patients receive safe treatment.

In this year’s campaign “Pharmacy united in action for a healthier world”, FIP wishes to show the solidarity of pharmacists regardless of conflicting ideologies, diverse politics, divergent cultures and economic disparities found among different nations. Accordingly, the staff of the FV Pharmacy and representative of the medical departments – Dr Basma M’Barek, expressed their solidarity to work together towards the goal to bring the best treatment to patients.

Pharmacists are people who use their knowledge, expertise and experience to make the world a better place, and the history of mankind has seen the countless outstanding contribution from pharmacists. On the World Pharmacists Day (September 25), FV Hospital would like to share our gratitude to all pharmacists and pharmaceutical scientists globally. In particular, the hospital would like to express our sincere thanks to all staff working at the FV Pharmacy for their continuous contributions bringing effective treatment and ensure safe medication practice for patients.
World Pharmacists Day is observed annually on 25th September. It was launched at the meeting of the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) in Istanbul, Turkey in 2010. It aims to encourage, promote and advocate for pharmacists in improving the public health worldwide.
25th September is also the establishing day of the FIP – the global body representing pharmaceutical research scientists, pharmacists and other positions in the field of pharmacy. The 2022 marks the 110 year anniversary of the FIP establishment.
