On 30th September, FV Hospital celebrated World Pharmacists Day (25th September 2019). The celebration was cordially held in the hospital with the attendance of Executive Board representatives and more than 20 members of the pharmacy.
The annual World Pharmacists Day was held for the first time by the FIP Council in 2010 at the FIP Congress in Istanbul, Turkey.
The purpose of celebrating this day is to advocate and promote pharmacists’ roles in the delivery of safe care for patients and the wider communities that they serve.
In the cordial celebration, on behalf of the Executive Board, Doctor Do Trong Khanh, Medical Director of FV Hospital, sent his congratulations and gratitude to the members of the Pharmacy Department. He shared: “I deeply thank the pharmacy for their great contribution to the hospital. You are young, enthusiastic and full of positive energy. I also express my gratitude to Mr Mohd Fazli Shuib, Head of Pharmacy Department, for being such a successful leader. I believe we will develop ourselves and contribute greatly to our work. Let’s all celebrate the World Pharmacists Day! May you all be happy and successful!”
Receiving many wishes from the Board Executive members, Doctor Mohd Fazli Shuib also shared: “At the moment, FV’s Pharmacy Department achieves the same standards of other advanced hospitals in the world. We reached this because of the tremendous support from the Executive Board and the dedicated efforts from members of the Pharmacy Department. In Vietnam, the pharmacy sector is developing so we have more opportunities to bring effective projects in the upcoming period. We will continue to bring patients the safest and most effective medication.”
The World Pharmacists Day celebration is one of FV Hospital’s numerous annual activities. This is a chance for FV Hospital to express our deep gratitude to our pharmacists for their valuable contributions to the process of patient care. The pharmacy is an essential part of the health care system. The dedicated pharmacists roles vary widely from research, development of drugs, management of distribution and providing instructions for patients. Thank you to all the pharmacists! You are improving the quality of life for the patients and the community!
