FV Hospital subsidises 20% on hospital fees for uninsured patients

FV Hospital is a regional-class international hospital that has maintained a service fee structure in Vietnam at only 50% of the fees charged by similar standard hospitals in leading Southeast Asian countries such as Singapore, Thailand, and Malaysia. Additionally, FV subsidises 20% on listed service fees for uninsured patients, regardless of whether the patient has public health insurance. And from January 2025, FV will apply a payment instalment programme for hospital fees and services for all patients.

“Over the past 21 years, FV Hospital has provided up to 85 million USD in subsidies, benefiting over 3 million patients – a significant effort that remains relatively unknown. Despite rising costs, we remain committed to these pricing support programmes to ensure access to international standard care. This tremendous achievement is a collective effort—from our leadership team to our medical professionals and financial management departments. In the near future, we will introduce an instalment payment programme for hospital fees and services, allowing patients to feel more secure in their treatment. This further demonstrates our commitment to making international-standard healthcare accessible to more Vietnamese people, right here in Vietnam, without the need for costly trips abroad,”* shared Dr Jean-Marcel Guillon, CEO of FV Hospital.

Patients at FV are informed about subsidy programmes, making healthcare more accessible and affordable.

Dr Jean-Marcel Guillon highlights that, with over 30 specialties, regionally renowned treatment centres, and a team of hundreds of high-quality doctors, FV Hospital continues to advance its expertise by bringing in leading specialists from Singapore while continually optimising costs. As a result, FV has become the top choice for healthcare in Vietnam. This enables patients to access international-quality medical care locally, eliminating the need for costly travel abroad. FV remains committed to enhancing its patient support initiatives to ensure the best possible service experience for all.

FV’s instalment programme will apply to credit card payments from 35 banks in Vietnam. For any service at FV with a credit card payment of 3 million VND or more, cardholders can convert the payment into an instalment plan, with terms up to 12 months. Additionally, if the instalment period is set to 3 months, the cardholder (patient) will be exempt from 100% of the instalment conversion fee, as FV will cover the cost of this fee for the patient.

The new instalment programme at FV Hospital helps patients manage treatment costs with greater ease and peace of mind.

This is the first time FV Hospital has introduced an instalment payment programme for hospital fees and services, with the goal of providing the best support to FV patients in particular and the broader community, making it easier for them to access healthcare services, consultations, and international-standard treatments without financial stress.

“When patients request instalment payments, FV will assist in converting payments directly at the cashier, eliminating the need for patients to spend time working with banks. We hope this programme provides practical support for patients and their families through flexible payment options,” said Ms. Tran Le Quyen, Chief Financial Officer of FV Hospital.

The instalment payment programme provides an opportunity to access comprehensive healthcare for every family at FV.

According to Ms. Tran Le Quyen, the instalment programme will also assist those who previously hesitated to use FV’s healthcare services due to cost concerns, allowing them to access quality care confidently when needed.

This programme will also make it easier for the public to use services such as the FV Membership programme, FV Insurance, and comprehensive health check-up packages, supporting complete healthcare for themselves and their families.

FV’s Board of Directors also announced that, starting in 2025, the hospital will gradually expand its collaboration with Social Insurance to offer financial support to patients with state health insurance, allowing them to access all services across all departments.

(*) Note: The FV Subsidy Programme does not apply to FV membership programmes, health check-up programmes, or implant materials.
