Information concerning the two confirmed COVID-19 cases at FV Hospital on 3rd June 2021

*FV HOSPITAL IS CONTINUING NORMAL OPERATIONS
*OVER 1000 FV EMPLOYEES HAVE BEEN VACCINATED FOR COVID-19

We would like to inform all patients & their families, FV staff and our community that FV Hospital has correctly followed the safety procedures for infection prevention and control during the screening and testing for these two patients. All FV operations are proceeding as usual.

Specifically, immediately after receiving positive results from FV Laboratory for the two patients mentioned above, the hospital standing Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control immediately coordinated with the Ho Chi Minh City Centre for Disease Control and Prevention to transfer the patients for quarantine and simultaneously checked and reviewed the entire process where the patients were received, and assessed the risk of infection, if any.

During the morning briefing on 4th June 2021, FV Hospital was highly commended by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health and the Ho Chi Minh City Centre for Disease Control and Prevention for our efforts in the prevention and control for Covid-19 epidemic. The handling method after screening positive cases at the hospital was very good and the reporting to authorities was very timely and clear.

Additional information:

From mid-May 2021, FV has actively increased a number of steps to strengthen the epidemiological screening process. At the three entrances to the hospital building, health declaration points are arranged for epidemiological screening according to the standard form issued by the Ministry of Health. In addition, FV Hospital has also implemented a supplementary step for further screening, to determine whether the case is safe or suspected. The epidemiological screening process is locations are outside the hospital building to ensure that all activities inside the hospital are not compromised and are taking place safely.

In order to ensure safe and continuous medical examination and treatment, FV hospital has administered COVID-19 vaccinations for more than 95% of our employees. As of the end of May 2021, more than 1,000 FV employees have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine and approximately 150 frontline employees have received the second dose.

In April 2020, FV was the first non-public hospital in Vietnam licensed by the Ministry of Health to perform COVID-19 confirmatory test. Utilising the capacity of standard facilities, biological safety, human resources, equipment, screening, isolation and testing procedures, FV is still and will continue to be one of the frontline hospitals in the fight against the COVID-19 epidemic.

The process of infection control and COVID-19 screening has always been strictly observed at FV Hospital since the beginning of this epidemic.
