From 4th August to 15th August 2014, Dr. Gerard Pouit, a French specialist in cosmetic and maxillofacial surgery, will work at the Maxillofacial Surgery and Dental Department, FV Hospital.
With over 27 years of experience in the field of plastic maxillofacial surgery, Dr. Pouit was formerly Head of the Maxillofacial Department, Saint Nazaire Hospital, France. He has also been a member of European Association for Maxillofacial Surgery since 2010.
Dr. Pouit is renowned for his “golden hands” and surgical skill in surgeries to repair maxillofacial defects. Every year, Dr. Pouit visits and works at FV Hospital’s Maxillofacial Surgery and Dental Department for two weeks.
He will provide consultations, treatments and surgeries for patients with facial defects, such as protrusion, toothlessness, misaligned jaws, small jaws, square jaws and jaw deformities caused by accidents or cancers and face-neck abnormalities. He will also be treating tooth stiffness, misaligned teeth, supernumerary teeth and ground teeth, and offering dental implant and pre-prosthetic implant surgeries.
Additionally, Dr. Gerard Pouit is also skilled in maxillofacial surgery to correct the angle of the jaw, for instance to form a V-line chin in order to create a slimmer facial contour.
