EXPERIENCING A SAFE & PERSONALISED MATERNITY JOURNEY WITH OUR EXPERTS

During our recent FV Wednesday seminar, the medical team at FV engaged in an in-depth discussion regarding comprehensive care solutions for expectant mothers and pioneering techniques—the first of their kind in Vietnam—aimed at delivering an exceptional birthing experience at FV.

Dr Vo Thi Thanh Van, MSc presented solutions for managing chronic hypertension during pregnancy:

  • Enabling accurate diagnosis of high blood pressure occurring before the 20th week of pregnancy.
  • Developing rigorous management plans to prevent dangerous complications such as preeclampsia, placental abruption, or foetal growth restriction.
  • Utilising treatment protocols that combine safe medication with lifestyle adjustments to ensure the wellbeing of both mother and baby.

Dr Vo Trieu Dat, MSc, Head of the FV Thomson Maternity, provided a detailed explanation of Water Labour, an option for a gentle birthing experience:

  • Using warm water to help mothers relax naturally, providing effective pain relief and minimising medical interventions.
  • Creating a peaceful start for the baby by being born into an environment similar to amniotic fluid, reducing shocks from temperature and light.
  • The procedure is conducted safely under strict professional supervision following JCI international standards – And the FV Thomson Obstetric Department is the only unit in Vietnam currently offering this specialist service!

WHAT IS FV WEDNESDAY

By discussing unique clinical cases and advanced techniques, the programme helps maintain JCI-standard international service quality while ensuring costs remain accessible for patients in Vietnam.
