However, we also need to balance this right with regulations to ensure patient safety, effectiveness, rest, infection control, and a quiet environment. Overnight Stay Policy Relatives of adult patients are generally NOT encouraged to stay overnight. Exceptions may be made with hospital approval. Note: Overnight stays are NOT allowed in Double Rooms. Department / WardSpecific GuidelinesPediatric WarParents/Caregivers: Welcome at any time.NICU & NHDU(Neonatal Intensive Care & High Dependency Units)Parents: Welcome anytime, except during doctor rounds or nursing procedures.Relatives (e.g., Grandparents): 14:00 – 20:00 (One visitor at a time).ICU(Intensive Care Unit)Standard Visiting Hours: 14:00 – 16:00 & 18:00 – 20:00.For Patients Under 16: Parents are welcome anytime, except during doctor rounds or nursing procedures.HDU & CCU(High Dependency & Coronary Care Units)Visiting Hours: 13:00 – 20:00Delivery RoomVisitors: Maximum of 2 visitors allowed at any time.Children: Visitors under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Exceptions For patients in critical condition or those requiring direct support from a family member, the Head Nurse may grant special visiting permissions for relatives or caregivers, on a case-by-case basis. Visitor Regulations Follow Visiting Hours: Please respect the designated visiting hours. Visitor Limit: Maximum 2 visitors per patient in double rooms and 3 visitors per patient in single rooms. Hand Hygiene: Please wash or sanitize your hands before entering and immediately after leaving the patient’s room. Medical Procedures: Visitors will be asked to step out of the room when medical staff are providing care. Time Limits: The nurse in charge may limit visiting duration depending on the patient’s health condition. Primary Contact: Please designate one representative to communicate with the medical team regarding the patient’s treatment and progress. Family Involvement: We encourage family participation in care. Nurses may ask for your assistance with feeding, medication, or personal hygiene. One Ward Policy: Please limit your visit to one ward only to prevent cross-contamination. Room Etiquette: Do not sit on the bed, touch wounds/drains, read medical records, or place personal items on the patient’s bed. Isolation Rooms: Visitors entering isolation areas must strictly follow the instructions posted outside the room. No Pets: Animals are not allowed in the hospital. No Smoking: Smoking is strictly prohibited, except in designated outdoor areas. Food & Drink: You may bring washed fruit and non-alcoholic drinks. Please check with the nurse before giving them to the patient. Note: Durian and Jackfruit are prohibited. No Recording: To protect privacy, filming and photography are prohibited in the wards (except in the Maternity Ward). Noise Control: Please keep your phone on silent/vibrate and avoid speaking loudly. No Flowers: Flowers and plants are not allowed (except in the Maternity Ward). No Eating: Visitors must not eat in the patient rooms or waiting areas (please use the Bistro or the Café in the lobby). Minors (Under 16): Must be accompanied by an adult and may only visit family members. Toddlers (Under 2): Children under 2 years old are not permitted to visit (except in the Maternity Ward). Overnight Stays (Double Room): Visitors are not permitted to stay overnight in double rooms. Overnight Stays (Single Room): One visitor may purchase an Overnight Pass upon request, provided it does not interfere with the patient’s treatment. Personal Property: FV Hospital is not responsible for lost or misplaced personal items. Code of Conduct: Please treat hospital staff with respect and courtesy. Please do not visit if you have: Vomiting or diarrhea Cough, cold, or flu symptoms Any other infectious disease Reminder: Please wash or sanitize your hands before and after your visit.
