Our Journey

FV Hospital is a private, fully foreign-owned hospital founded by a group of French doctors led by Dr Jean-Marcel Guillon. The hospital opened in the Phu My Hung urban area on April 11, 2003. In 2024, it became a member of Thomson Medical Group, one of Southeast Asia’s leading healthcare providers headquartered in Singapore. 

FV was the first hospital in the region to receive HAS (Haute Autorité de Santé) certification from the French National Authority for Health in 2007. It is also the only hospital in Southern Vietnam to earn JCI international accreditation four times in a row, from 2016 to 2025. These prestigious international certifications demonstrate FV Hospital’s commitment to patient safety and internationally recognised standards of care. 

FV currently employs 1,500 staff, including more than 200 doctors from Vietnam, France, Germany, and other countries. The hospital provides 24/7 comprehensive care across more than 45 specialities. In just over twenty years, FV has served more than six million visits, including over one million international patients from 170 countries.

Driven by the goal of leading healthcare in Asia, FV makes access easy with direct billing for over 100 insurance companies and acceptance of Vietnam’s social health insurance, plus various financial support options. This means patients can access internationally accredited care at about half the cost of similar hospitals in the region.
